# outerbounds flowproject set-metadata

The `set-metadata` subcommand registers or updates the flowproject metadata record for a project branch. Use it after deploying flows and assets through your own tooling so the platform knows what is deployed.

## Usage

```sh theme={null}
outerbounds flowproject set-metadata <JSON>
```

## Arguments

Argument

Description

`<JSON>`

Required. A JSON string containing the flowproject metadata payload.

## Examples

```sh theme={null}
outerbounds flowproject set-metadata '{"project": "fraud_detection", "branch": "main", "workflows": [{"flow_template_id": "frauddetection.prod.trainflow"}]}'
```
