# anaconda ai delete-vectordb

## Usage

```bash theme={null}
anaconda ai delete-vectordb [OPTIONS]
```

## Description

Deletes the vector database instance and all of its data. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Only works with the `anaconda-desktop` backend.

> [!WARNING]
>
> This command permanently removes the vector database and all stored data. To stop the database without deleting data, use [`stop-vectordb`](https://anaconda.com/docs/cli-reference/anaconda-ai/commands/stop-vectordb) instead.
