# Advanced platform settings

After installing Data Science & AI Workbench, there are default settings that you might want to update with information specific to your installation, including the [password for the database](/docs/data-science/latest/admin/advanced/db-passwd) and the [redirect URLs](/docs/data-science/latest/admin/advanced/redirect-urls) for the Workbench platform.

* If you’ve [installed Livy server](/docs/data-science/latest/admin/advanced/livy-server), you’ll need to [configure it to work with the platform](/docs/data-science/latest/admin/advanced/config-livy-server) so users can access your Hadoop Spark cluster.
* If your organization already uses a repository such as GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab for version control, you can [configure Workbench to use that repository](/docs/data-science/latest/admin/advanced/config-repo) instead of the internal Git server.
* You can also [add one or more NFS shares](/docs/data-science/latest/admin/advanced/nfs) to your organization’s configuration for platform users to store data and source code. They can then access these resources within their sessions and deployments.
* You might want to [replace the self-signed certificates generated during installation](/docs/data-science/latest/install/certs) with your organization’s own certificates—or change other default security settings—after initial installation.
